Each year on the second Sunday of May, we recognize our mothers for the tireless influence they have on our lives. Throughout any given year, the average mother will spend upwards of 3,000 hours taking care of her children's needs. This does not take into account any time needed for her own welfare or interest. Whether it is washing, folding, and putting away clothes, cooking meals, washing and putting away dishes, vacuuming, dusting, playing taxi driver, deciding who is right in a dispute between siblings, assuming the role of professor in all things educational, psychologist and psychiatrist, doctor or nurse, mothers are expected to know it all and do it all. On top of all of this, you still have time and energy to tuck little ones into bed and make them feel as if they are the most important person in the world.

Well, mothers, today is all about you. May your family return just a portion of what you do for them and the love they feel on this very special day, "Mother's Day."

May God bless each of your homes and may you have much fruit added to your eternal account for your role as a Godly mother.

Privileged to be your Pastor,
