When I was in Bible College, Dr. Ed Reese taught us a new verse fo the song, "Since Jesus came into my heart." The new words were as follows:
"Since Jesus came into this town,
The devil has been wearing a frown,
Many lives have been changed,
Many homes rearranged,
Since Jesus came into this town."
I hope I never forget those wonderful words.
One of the greatest blessings that we can enjoy as an individual is a home where we can find peace and rest. Sadly, many homes today provide little of either. The Bible tells us in John 16:33, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." No matter what you go through in this world, you can still find peace in Christ Jesus. Did you catch the end of that verse? "I have overcome the world." It is a great thing to be on the side of victory.
Is your life in need of some peace? Do the things of the world keep you emotionally, physically, and even spirtitually drained? Isaiah 26:3 tells us that when a person trusts in the Lord, it frees their mind to think on His goodness and grace, in turn, they are kept in perfect peace.
Maybe we need to allow Jesus into our life as in the song mentioned above. He can change your life, He can rearranged your family and bring peace into your home, but most importantly, He wants to save you. Have you been introduced to the One and Only Prince of Peace? The Lord Himself died for you, therefore, you don't have to fear death. He arose to provide the victory. If you have not before done so, please trust Him today!
