There is much to say about morals and ethics in today's world. Politicians often try to run on the ideas of a better moral society. School systems offer classes on situational ethics and even ministries are often conceived on the basis of developing deeper morals.

If we would look back at the morals of society and what was deemed ethical just one hundred years ago, we would be shocked at a side by side comparison. The problem is that when it comes to the mores of society, they change with time. 11 Timothy 3:13 tells us that in the end times, "...evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse." With this in mind, we can understand that as society changes, so do the morals of society. What was once declared sinful or dishonest, is now accepted as the norm for this day.

Ethics works in much the same way. The less of God's word that is applied to a person's life, the less ethical they become. Ethics have to do with the knowledge of morals and how to apply them.

The Bible, as our "Rule of Faith and Practice," declares that God is "the same yesterday, today, and forever." Therefore, as Christians we should look at the ideas of this world from a Biblical view. What he world believes should not simply be accepted into our life without first going to the Bible and getting God's persective on the matter. The bottom line is that, the more Bible that is read, understood, and applied, the more stable our moral will be. Let's determine to have our morals and ethics anchored in the Rock of Jesus Christ. Amen
